Here’s an update, growing pretty quickly! Added “every watering” nutrients suggestion today. 1 teaspoon per gallon.
http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/2968/pict1291dp2.jpg Yum. I like these a lot. They’re way too expensive, on average $1.80 each. For their size it’s not worth it, but they’re really a great food to have while traveling or away from a good source of calories, etc. There was only about 5 or 6g of protein in this particular bar, so not terrific for protein, but it tastes good and it’s a good source of energy. I attached a picture of the actual bar, check it out.
Two seedlings are still in my humidification/seedling tray because I’ve been too lazy to plant them, and that’s fine. I planted the one seedling I planned on putting in the hydro set up. I attached a picture of it, check it out! My pH is a little high and I’m going to bring it down to 6-6.1ish in the morning, not worth noting specifically since there haven’t been any problems with the plant so far. P.S. – If it looks like more than one plant, that’s because it is, that’s a problem I’ll address after it’s big enough to withstand being separated I suppose (I’m new to gardening.)
They sent me two different PDF files, one is for their gluten free list, both files are attached. They told me ALL of their cheeses are gluten free. To spare you from having to download the PDF for their vegetarian list here it is: CreamyGorg® Crescenza-Stracchino Fresh Mozzarella: Water-packed, Burrata, Curd and Thermoform ItalicoTM Mascarpone, Tiramisu Mascarpone and Crema Di Mascarpone Parmesan for Vegetarians Ricotta con Latte® 73 Ricotta con Latte® 75 and 75 Smooth
Thank you so much for your support! I have 1 goal…… “To change the way the world eats” I have fooled over 100 people already, they don’t care that the products are gluten free or vegan, they just like the taste! HA! I have proved that food can be yummy without the use of wheat or animal products! Soon to come…… GLUTEN FREE VEGAN DRIVE THRU!:D
Hello Vegiacs! Wow! I had no idea you were here! Thank you Andrew for forwarding this website to me, I totally appreciate it! I thought I was a complete weirdo being gluten free & vegan. I’m glad to know there are others out there who share my challenges! Hence the reason I started Azna Gluten Free. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m tired of eating cardboard wafers called waffles. I want soft sweet sandwich bread that doesn’t have to be toasted to tolerated, so I created it! My work and recipes are patent pending, and I intend to get the food out to all of the major grocery chains. Just because we are gluten free vegans doesn’t mean that we should be isolated in our choices. We should be able to shop just like other people. I’m sorry that you think the prices are high, but when I created my product line I went for taste, texture, and nutritional content first. For instance, the dark sandwich bread contains 100% pure organic noni juice. 8g Fiber and 7g protein per serving. All of the berries I use are organic local berries. Once you try our stuff, you will be hooked! I am! Anyone who orders products from the aznagluenfree.com website and mentions the VEGIAC.com website will receive free samples! Currently there is a $40 minimum order, but I’m trying to have that removed from the website. Thank you so much for all of your warm wishes and support. Our Bakery will be around, we need it to be around. Look for the Azna Gluten Free Logo, and eat safe! Much Love, Dawna DeStafeno President/CEO Azna Gluten Free 530-677-5810
This is something I posted at Celiac.com awhile ago. I found a recipe link on this message board and here it is “http://gluten free.com/bread_recipes.htm” (there is no space between gluten and free in the web address but the message board keeps editing one in). I made a different kind of sauce, than suggested, that was adapted from an old sauce my aunt and our family used to make on moneky bread. My Mom thinks next time I should make more sauce because the bread soaked it up. I also put raisens on it before cooking the bread in the oven (I put the sauce on before cooking it in the oven, too). Monkey Bread 1 bag Gluten Free Pantry Country French Bread Mix (#30) -They have changed their name to French Bread & Pizza Mix, my Mom called and asked to make sure it was the right thing.- 1/2 tsp. salt 2 Tbs. sugar 1 yeast packet (enclosed) or 2 1/4 tsp. yeast 1 3/4 cup warm water 1 tsp. cider vinegar 1/3 cup oil 2 eggs plus 1 egg white 1 bag GFP Crisp and Crumble Topping (#125) 5 Tbs. softened margarine Preheat oven to 375°. Spray a bundt pan with vegetable oil. In mixer, combine bread mix, salt, sugar, and yeast. Combine water, vinegar, oil and eggs. Add to flour mixture and beat 2 minutes. Meanwhile, with a fork, combine topping mix with margarine. Using a medium size scoop, drop balls of dough into bundt pan. (Tip: Spray scoop with vegetable oil). When bottom of pan is completely covered with dough, sprinkle some topping over dough. Continue to layer balls of dough and topping until all the dough is used. Make sure to sprinkle a little extra topping as the final layer. Cover with plastic wrap. Let sit in a warm place 30 to 40 minutes or until dough rises close to top of pan. Bake 40 minutes in oven. Remove from oven and allow to cool on wire rack. Remove from pan. To serve, pull apart the balls of dough with your fingers. I used my hands to make the balls and here is the sauce recipe I used: 1 Tablespoon Corn Startch. 1 Stick Butter. 1/2 A Cup Brown Sugar. 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon. 1 Teaspoon Butterscotch Extract (I couldn’t find any tonight at the store tonight so I used Vanilla).
A thread was made about this place on Celiac.com and it looks interesting but pretty expensive! I hope it sticks around awhile though because sometimes vegan and gluten-free bakeries don’t. Http://www.aznaglutenfree.com/
Hey everyone! I have recently made a new theme and it’s available for use. I had quite a few people tell me the default theme was too bright, so much so that it “hurt” their eyes. 😮 So I made a darker, less straining theme that I hope helps. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and choose from the drop-down menu on the left hand side of the screen “fruity”. After you select it the new theme will load. If you like it enough you want to keep it just go into your User Control Panel and set it as default. Anytime you are logged in the page will load with that theme. I’m still working on this theme and the logo especially so let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions let me know! :grapes: P.S. – Not Internet Explorer 6 friendly as of now but I’m working on it..! P.S.S. – Logo is fixed!!! (No more white space along edges)!!
