How to grow ginger indoors?

I am new here and want to say hello to all my veggie friends before asking for help. Well, I want to grow ginger plants indoors and need your help. Does anyone have any experience of growing ginger indoors? I have been reading a couple of online guide on how to grow ginger, but still confused. Can anyone point me in the right direction and provide me some useful tips?

Never thought of trying ginger indoors. I do grow several herbs though but they are easy and ginger being a root may mean a much bigger pot?
