Default Gluten Free Grains

This coming growing season, I plan to experiment with growing GF grains like amaranth, quinoa, buckwheat, and oats in my backyard. There is a huge movement where I live to source food locally, and I am interested in supplying at least myself with grains. I will let you know how it goes!

Any luck so far growing the grains? I would love to give that a shot.

I wonder what grains would grow best here in hot, humid zone 9???

I also tried planting quinoa in my garden this year. I thought it would grow so easily, since it sprouts in water very quickly. So far, they've barely grown an inch or two - and I planted them 2 months ago! Where have I gone wrong?
