Pizza Pizza-Cheese-Sticks

These are super easy to make and can serve as a great appetizer or could be eaten as a meal with a salad or something. Here's what you need and how to do it.

Ingredients:
  • Glutino brand pizza crusts
  • The following spices/herbs
    • Dried basil
    • Salt
    • Oregano
    • Garlic powder
  • Olive Oil
  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Pizza/spaghetti marinara/tomato sauce
How to do it:
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees
  2. Once the oven is heated up, put one pizza crust into the oven on the middle rack of your oven
  3. While the pizza crust is being thawed + toasted, put equal amounts of dried basil, oregano and garlic powder into a small bowl
  4. Put in a pinch of salt and pour enough olive oil into the bowl just to cover all of the herbs/spices
  5. Using a culinary brush, mix the herbs and spices into the olive oil and let sit until it's needed later on
  6. Watch your oven carefully! Use a pair of tongs to flip the crust over so one side doesn't accidentally get dried out more than the other; the main point of this step is to get the spongy (and undesirable) texture of the crust out by essentially drying it out in the oven
  7. When your crust has reached a crusty/crispy outside, pull it out! (Keep in mind: you may have to go through several trials to reach a good texture in the crust that fits your preference)
  8. Brush the olive oil mixed with your herbs and spices onto the crust, it should wind up looking a bit like this:
  9. Add shredded cheese
  10. Put back in the oven for about 6-10 minutes
  11. Broil if you'd like to brown the cheese on top
  12. Cut into sections and serve hot with sauce for dipping!

Dang! Those look great! Do I want to know how bad this would blow my eating clean program. I'd have to workout for hours, but oh so worth it!!

Thank you for the great idea!!
