Default Grocery Swapping Idea - Is this legal?

Any law experts here? What if people who lived near great grocery stores that have good GF, veggie stuff swapped stuff with other people who have grocery stores you don't have access to? Is this stupid? I can't tell. Are there businesses that do this? It'd be cool...

So for example, person A lives near a Wegmans on the East Coast and person B lives on the West Coast near a Trader Joe's. They go buy what each other likes and ship it to one another. Wouldn't be cheap but how else am I supposed to get Trader Joe's enchiladas and stuff? Thoughts?

That's kinda funny... I was complaining on a forum once because people were raving about some awesome donuts from Detroit and the company wouldn't ship to Canada. A lady who lives near the bakery offered to ship a few packages to me and in exchange, I sent her a few products made here in Toronto.

So it worked out well in the end... but it was fairly expensive to ship the products... plus I worried about them spoiling before getting there.

Right now I'm craving Chebe pizza mix and Betty Crocker mixes - made in Canada, yet not sold here!!! grrr

I don't know Betty Crocker says they have no plans to bring them to Canada either... so there's even a petition online to bring them here

Please sign!!

I've done package swaps on another forum, they're organised by one person and usually there is a limit on who can enter based on how well they are known on the forum so there is some accountability.

But if you wanted to, you could organise a swap for yourself with another Vegiac member. I've never had anything removed from the parcels I have sent or received, as long as everything is sealed and preferably in it's original packaging.

I've done international swaps on other boards. Nothing illegal about it.
