I found these cards online... avail in various languages so should be good for travel. Have any of you seen what's actually on these cards? If so, are they good?

I have these cards. Unfortunately for me, they don't explain being vegan and unable to eat soy. In addition to saying the gluten things that can't be eaten, they translate "I can eat ..." and list things I can't! I suppose if you are only avoiding meat and gluten, the card (and reading the menu or knowing how to say you don't eat meat or are vegetarian in the pertinent language) would be fine. But if you want to avoid other things and the card is going back to the chef who doesn't speak English, you could run into difficulty.

What I've found is a site that has a much larger selection of languages, plus you can input any number of foods you can't or don't want to have. Plus it is free. I only end up with a sheet of paper rather than a slick looking card, but it works.

For some reason I thought I fixed that problem, sorry Hathor I'll fix that for sure ASAP.

My friend suggested doing something like that site does but still have it print with the current design, might still do that although it'd take a bit more work, it's a future project!

Thanks and I'll repost the updated ones ASAP.

No, hon, your cards are fine. It is the Triumph cards that are a problem. The reason for wanting the latter is that they translate the pertinent information into an assortment of different languages.

If anyone knows could you link or let me know?
What do you all think of this?

**UPDATE 10/16/07**

Here are the final cards!
Unless there's a major problem there won't be an update for a while. As of now people will have to just download and print their own cards since I can't find any practical place to print them for now. If you have any questions on how to do this post them in this thread for now.
Use the below links to download the vegan and vegetarian cards.
Both versions use the same back file.
NOTE! These are all .pdf files, meaning you need Adobe Acrobat reader to open and view them! Click here to get Adobe Acrobat reader if you don't have it!

Hi,
The veg dining cards are great! Thanks.
Has anyone seen GF Veg dining cards in other languages? Might be going to Norway, and have no idea how I will manage with eating out there.

Default Dining Cards

I found this community by first coming across the dining cards which then linked me here... I had printed off a few pages but last night was the first time I used one... I filled in a few other more obscure names that might not be recognized as containing gluten and handed it to the waiter... Also being vegetarian he was able to guide me through the menu and I had an absolutely wonderful Italian meal... The dinner was in honor of my Aunt turning 80 years old and I was very nervous about having Italian cuisine but the card made it very easy on me, the waiter and the chef.
