Default Wheat Cookie.

Two days ago, I had a wheat cookie. Because i was like this will help me to
just make sure. I got so sick! I don't want to not eat wheat, also i have been eating stuff that has modified food starch without realizing i was eating wheat no wonder i feel like crap. Well, the wheat Uncle Eddies choc.chip cookie sadly was not worth it. I need to do more research. It's tough to be Vegan and celiac.
it doesn't leave to many foods that you can eat. My family is bewildered they almost don't believe i have a medical problem they act like i'm some aesthetic person trying to rule out food all together. I just needed to vent my irritation with food right now.
thanks.

Dear Everyone,
I have found people are extremely ignorant about what they are consuming. They have no idea what is in their food! My brother went to a restaurant explaining he could not have gluten, and they were like "What is that? Sugar?" He was like "Nevermind". At that moment, he realized it was in his best interest not to eat there.

No matter who I am talking to, they do not know about Celiac. They look at you like you are on crack when you mention it. People tend to offer you pretzels and crackers, and have no idea until you explain to them it is made of wheat, barley, oats, rye, etc. the reason you cannot eat that. Most of our society is nutritionally handicapped. Maybe I should just design a t-shirt that explains it, so I do not have to repeat myself.

Sincerely,
NoGluGirl

Dear trustngod,
I wish this idea had occurred to me sooner! I am an artist, so I could do this! My specialty and favorite is comicbook art. However, cartooning is a lot of fun. Maybe I should work up some designs and post them. People may be able to afford a small amount for a transfer. What do you think?

Sincerely,
NoGluGirl

That's interesting that people do not know what celiac disease is when you mention it....I just don't mention it. I do not want people to think I am sick or have a disease....because really I am healthy. I want to be perceived by others as strong and healthy. So, I keep it a secret. If someone offers me a pretzel or crackers or pizza, I just smile and say "no thank you"

but i agree with you xvegangirlx, i usually just so, no thanks, im okay. its usually easier than trying to explain the whole thing, especially when you say celiac disease, sounds kinda gross DISEASE. lol
