Sazon Restaurant and Cafe

Yesterday I had lunch at a wonderful neighborhood Venezuelan place just a few blocks off of Broad Street in Philadelphia:

You can see there are a number of vegetarian items on the menu. The co-owner told me that these aren't authentic because "in Venezuela we don't eat vegetables" They are still good, though; at least, the ones we tried were.

She was knowledgeable about avoiding cross-contamination as you can tell from the web site. She even volunteered all this information to put my mind at ease.

aww looks like a good restaurant find

I was watching a show the other day where a Filipino lady was saying how she wants to raise her kids differently than she was raised... her parents only used fruits and vegetables to garnish dishes and never actually ate them weird.
