    Default vegan Vitamin D

Anyone found vegan vitamin D (ergocalciferol) that they find effective? I'm taking one brand and my levels have gone up but still low. I live in MA so not much sunshine exposure in winter.

No, but I'm wondering that why it is forbidden to drink that water kept in sunlight. Since it is to be
said that sunlight is a big source of vit D for human skin. It seems to be interesting.
    Whats about the water?

I don't know what water you're talking about but drinking it wouldn't work because it would require the action of the skin converting the sunlight. I've been using Country Life Dry Vitamin D and we just got Country Life Vegan D but haven't started taking it yet. I haven't had my levels checked lately.

    Hey lgss,
SwansonsVitamins.com has a vegan vitamin D by Deva. It is 800 IU's. It is a pretty good product for the price although it is very similar to the country life vitamin D so probably no need to switch from that. I prefer to get whole food vitamins though. If you aren't concerned about that, SwansonsVitamins.com usually has a good selection. If you want to give whole food vitamins a try, I would reccomand NewChapter. They have gluten free, vegetarian and whole food vitamins. The vitamins are more absorbable than regular store bought vitamins. The one that contains vitamin D is called NewChapter bone strength. It has a blend of vitamin d, calcium and vitamin k2 complex, which are vitamins that are all necessarry as a unit to be properly absorbed into the body. You can buy it on vitacost.com.

    WildOne,
I can't have added vitamin K because of a history of DVT.

Just curious, where were you able to find the Country Life products?

Whole Foods Market, but usually only in the winter.
