Default Quejos

This place is amazing...

Quejos Bakery, Cafe and Retail
is open daily at ... Mon-Sat 10am-6pm; Sun-holidays 11am-5pm
4129 Main St, Vancouver, (at Main & King Edward)
Hotline: (604) 420 0832
info@quejos.com
http://www.quejos.com/default.html

Also available at Granville Island Public Market... see http://www.quejos.com/about.html for details on other distributors.

You never have to worry about cross contamination here... they only make gf products, with manioc. They have dairy free options as well, and soymilk/rice cheese options.

They taste incredible. Heat up in a toaster oven for a few minutes, mmm... yumm! Not egg free, if you are concerned. They make pizza shells too.

Il Fornello Restaurants here in Toronto use Quejos crust for their pizza yum

Seconding the Il Fornello yum. The crust is very thin, almost like a cracker, but very good with the type of ingredients they put on it.

Il Fornello has a new and improved GF crust I tried it last week at the Yonge Street location so I'm not sure if it is available at all locations yet. It is still a thin crust pizza but not as "crackery" as before - much easier to cut and better flavour/texture. I added a couple pics on the Facebook Group "Ontario Celiacs" if you wanna check it out.

Cool

Hi there
I had read reviews on-line and on on-line newspapers about this restaurant (which has more than one restaurant, I believe). The one in Madrid near Plaza Mayor is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during typical Spanish lunch and dinner hours (this means late!). I went with two friends when they opened at 9:00 PM on Friday for dinner. The employees that night did not speak English and I am sure most do not any night. Upon arriving I told our waitress “yo tengo Celíacos” and she knew exactly what was going on! What a nice surprise! On their regular menu they also have listed the gluten-free options (you can see them on their website, too). I also told her of my other allergies, which she told the kitchen when placing my order..!
