Default Instant Breakfast Drinks?

BF was recently hospitalized, and is having trouble with solid food, so I suggested he try Carnation Instant Breakfast. He has no food allergies that I know of, but for my sake I checked to see the gluten status since something like this would be convenient for me to keep a few packets in my desk for emergencies. Using my google fu, I found that Carnation is gf, but when I got to the store, it had the "may contain wheat" label.

So my question: are there any instant breakfast type drinks that are safe?

What about Ensure meal replacement drinks? They say gluten-free (and lactose-free) right on the bottles

ensure is gluten free but read the ingredients it is disgusting, all processed soy and corn. I just got a meal replacement drink at Whole Foods but haven't tried it yet called Mix 1, it is not vegan tho

Thanks guys!

I don't know why I didn't think about ensure . . . I'll check out the ingredients.

I've got to stock up for a 3 day weekend conference, so it's time to stock up on purse-able foods :-(

Default meetings and such

don't you find it amazing that when you go to meetings or banquets or whatever they don't ever seem to have a variety or take into consideration that some folks can't eat just anything...very frustrating

Have you tried Vega or Juvo? Both are powders you can mix with juice. Both vegan and gluten free.
